Default Some advice required. :]

Hello.
I'm having a bit of a debate on which campaign to start my Elementalist on.

And heres why:

Factions:
Faster leveling, and havn't finished yet. (Only ever done the first island)
Dull storyline.
Better armor. (But can be gotten once in lions arch really.)
Missions are sometimes long and drag on a bit like the one in zen harbour? The last one on the first island. It was total garbage from the skip.

Proph:
Slower leveling, almost finished (Last mission on my warrior)
Better storyline, It's alot more convincing that Factions crappy. Master?! *Looks at him* *Turns and looks at camera* *Looks back at other guy* *Guy turns into monster* *Everybody fights*
Armor is okish and easy to get at start if you have the money.
The missions are boring though until you reach Thunderhead in my opinion anyway.

So enough ranting, I'm here to ask you for your advice on which to go for. So all kinds of comments are welcome. Flaming is not though.

Of the two?
I'd say Prophecies. Tyrian ele girls are hotter, Tyrian ele guys are cuter, and you get a lot of kickass skills - Fireball, Eruption etc. - free from quests.

No Nightfall though?
No Mind Blast for you

I chose cantha, because you can travel to other continents without doing much.

I hate Istan quests and missions and getting to Lion's Arch takes a while. Just my thoughts.

Well it sounds as though you've already made your mins up to start in Prophecies, due to al the factions-negative comments, although my vote is still with Factions.

If you wanted to be strictly pragmatic, it's always best to start in Prophecies, since you get more skills from quests than Factions, and you get more skill points than Factions. The only decent reason to start from Factions is to quickly level, and to level safely. You can probably make survivor in a day without so much as leaving the island, and there are places on the mainland where you can grind to Legendary Survivor without any problems. Otherwise, the campaign absolutely drags like mud because the pacing is crap. You spend the first half of the campaign hacking through endless waves of identical and unnecessarily difficult high-level creatures on the same damn landscape inside and outside of unnecessarily difficult missions until you get up to Arborstone. I freaking hate that campaign so much.

I made mine in Prof. got a run to L.A. from a guildy, had a few other guildies join to do the quest to get to NF, got max def armor, then went over to Factions and lvled up doing the 3000 xp quests......

I'm sure some ppl will frown upon this method, but it worked for me

P.S. I'll be on around 8pm cst, if you need a run just give me a holler(IGN: Midas Windfire) and I'll get you to L.A.
